Clients will pay for the services of Asheville Profits through time and/or in-kind contributions to the western North Carolina not-for-profit community. As a point of reference, the clients should assume a ratio of 3 hours contribution for each hour of Asheville Profits consulting time; for in-kind donations, the client would contribute at a ratio of at least $125 in costs per every hour of Asheville Profits consulting time. Gwen and the client will agree on the fees and the not-for-profit agency(ies). The agency will be consulted and explicit obligation to them made by the business owner prior to the commencement of the Asheville Profits’ services. The donations should be above and beyond the level of community service and contributions that the client normally contributes; further, the agency of choice should be non-religious and non-political. The contributed hours will preferably be active; for example, attending a meeting would not generally qualify.
