Why don’t you do the work for money and donate the funds to the community? The income would be diminished by taxes, and therefore, lose value. Further, the monetary value that I’ve commanded in the past is out of reach for the majority of businesses in the community – this approach makes the consulting more accessible to the Asheville community.
Why don’t you do the work for free? I value my time and believe that business people also will value what is paid to the community. By agreeing to a value for my services, business people are more committed to the results of the consulting work and to implementation of the business improvements.
Why not just volunteer your time in the community in non-business related work?
My talents lie in the solving of business issues toward the generation of profit; I believe that my consulting model helps to maximize profit and to maximize the value to the not-for-profit community.
